The quick "lowdown" on this singing contest:

1. Make a video of yourself performing one of the templates featured in "Be the next singing sensation" book, by Dr. Oh
2. Upload it (you'll find out more after February 28)
3. The person with the most votes and video views wins! It's as simple as that!

Official Rules

1. All entries must be received by 11:59pm Eastern Time, May 1, 2009.
2. Perform a template from the book / ebook "Be the Next Singing Sensation", or a template from the singing sensation official website (http://www.sensationalsinger.com).
3. Make a video of your performance. The video can be as long or short as desired. The video may have special effects, props, in front of a crowd, in your garage, at home, etc. Essentially, think of it as a "music video" for your song, so be as creative as you want.
4. Think of a name for the music video, and a name for your band (if you want to...)
5. Upload the video in the entry form. You can name it anything you want, and put anything in the description as long as you include the what template you are performing somewhere in it.
6. Submit the entry form. Dr. Oh will preview your entry to make sure it meets the entry criteria. You will receive an email typically within 24 hours whether or not your video was accepted.
7. Now, start promoting your video! Tell your friends, family, aquantances, strangers, put it on your website (myspace, facebook, blog)...whatever will get you the most views.
8. Submitted videos will be judged on views and votes cast at sensationalsinger.com. So the more "hits" and votes your video has, the better your chance of winning.

Contest is open to individuals and bands alike. Contest entrants may choose to perform solo, with musical background (i.e. the help of a band or instruments), or sing in a group.

There is no entry fee, and no limit on the number of times you can enter.

Contest is available to residents of the USA and Canada, but is void where prohibited by law. Winner is responsible for taxes, duties, or applicable fees.

In the event of a tie, Dr. Oh will cast the deciding ballot based on originality.

Prizes are not redeemable for cash and must be accepted as awarded. The final decision of contest outcome is final, and no substitutions will be made available. Vote fraud, placing more than one vote for a specific video on sensationalsinger.com or viewing a video to artificially inflate the view statistics is prohibited. Individuals may vote one for their own video, however, those who vote more than once or otherwise cheat the system may be disqualified and forfeit any prize.

By accepting a prize, the winner may not hold sensationalsinger.com, Dr. Oh, or Headphase Media, LLC, responsible for any loss, damage or injury associated with accepting their prize. Also by accepting the prize, winners agree that sensationalsinger.com, Dr. Oh, or Headphase Media, LLC, may use, without further compensation or notice, the winner's video, song, photograph, likeness or voice for promotion or advertisement purposes in any medium.

Contest is subject to local, state/provincial, and federal laws. Void where prohibited. Value of the prizes may vary. sensationalsinger.com, Dr. Oh, and Headphase Media, LLC, reserve the right to make prize substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value for any reason.

You may submit as many entries as you like, provided all contest rules are followed. Disqualification of one entry does not automatically exclude other entries by the same person. Copyright infringement is grounds for immediate disqualification of a video.

You may vote for as many videos as you'd like, however, only one vote per entry is allowed.
